Description

A “Visitor” is someone who works for the University but is not registered on the Central HR System (Oracle) and not on the main Central Payroll. A visit only needs to be recorded on VRS if its duration is five days or longer. Only one visit per visitor can be current at any time.

Visitor details are automatically passed from the VRS to other corporate computer systems in order that the necessary services can be set up.

The Visitor Registration System (VRS) is an administrative system, developed to record the presence of visitors on University property and provide them with access to a wide range of computer systems and facilities such as library services.

Visitor Rgistration has been designed to be 'self-service' and is targeted at College, School and Administrative Offices, with the expectation that each organisation will manage their own Visitors.
