Description

Digimap for Schools is an online mapping service giving primary and secondary schools across Great Britain access to contemporary and historical digital Ordnance Survey mapping, detailed aerial photography and 5 million crowd-sourced georeferenced photographs.  Mapping is available seamlessly across of all GB from the smallest atlas style products to large scale data used by industry.

Pupils are able to interpret and present their own information via a number of intuitive annotation tools including csv upload, photo pinning, adding graphs, adding text, digitising lines and areas.  Simple measurement tools allow measuring of distance and area with more complex buffering tools extend measurement to radius and sphere of influence.

Accompanying the service are learning resources authored by curriculum experts outlining use of the service as a cross-curricular resource.
