Description

The University of Edinburgh has a supported Desktop that covers Windows and Mac OSX operating system. The service is designed to provide a secure, stable and supported environment. A wide range of applications is available for staff to install where licensed. New applications can be added to the range on request.

Windows, application and anti-virus definition updates are provided as part of the service.

There is a mature governance model that approves changes to ensure that there is a stable and known environment.
