Description

The Computer Aided Assessment service brings together a variety of dedicated assessment applications, with specialist advice, user support and training to meet the wide assessment needs found across the University.

Supported activities include; delivery of high stakes examinations to students in both a controlled and remote environment and analysis of the results of those exams; formative tests to give instant scores and feedback to students; online marking and feedback of individually submitted work and peer marked feedback; and anonymous or moderated assessment workflows.

The applications implemented as part of the Computer Aided Assessment service are:

  • Turnitin
      - Similarity Reporting
     - Feedback Studio
      PeerMark
  • Questionmark Perception (QMP)
  • WebPA
  • Wooclap
  • Assignment drop boxes / Quiz tools / Assessed blogs, wiki’s and forums through the centrally supported VLE’s and Academic blogging service
  • Pebblepad ATLAS

This Service Level Description outlines what will be provided by Information Services to members of the institution who wish to use the service, along with the responsibilities of users of the service.

Information Services share good practice related to the service both internally and externally within the academic community via blogs, wikis, social media, internal events and conference participation.
