Description

The ePortfolio service supports the creation and assessment of digital portfolios within the University through the use of the Pebblepad software, along with user support, training, and specialist advice and guidance.

ePortfolios are useful for supporting a wide range of reflective and evidencing activities such as CPD activities, work placements and personal tutoring or mentoring activities.

The service helps users to create, compile and present a purposeful collection of information and digitalized artefacts that demonstrates progress or evidences learning outcomes, skills or competencies. Portfolios can be based on pre-defined templates or designed by students. Students can record evidence of learning in different digital formats and can easily share that evidence with peers and tutors. Personalised feedback can be provided in the form of comments. Portfolios can also be submitted for formal assessment where appropriate. The service is integrated with the University VLEs (Learn and Moodle) and MyEd.

The features within the ePortfolio service are:

· Blogs

· Sharing files

· Collaborative work on assets

· Group work

· Scaffolded reflective work

· Creative portfolio development

· Reflection on attributes
