Description | Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is an additional layer of security that helps prevent unauthorised access to services by adding a simple two-step verification method. This means you will be asked to verify your University of Edinburgh account using a second option, such as an authenticator app code, phone call, or SMS via a second device. We are starting with Microsoft 365 services. Additional digital services will be added soon, so the extra protection will become more widespread over time. |
